Unravel Live - September 2019
For our September show, we returned to Roxie, our favorite neighborhood bar. Female owned and operated, and outfitted with dozens of abandoned bras, it was the perfect setting to ‘Man Up.’ Our storytellers told tales ranging from waxing it all off for a ‘Manzilian’ dare, to being a woman in the wine industry, to navigating rejection online and irl. We also had two very special stories told by members of the Unravel team, a big shout out to Alejandro Scott and Yong-Yi Chiang!
This theme was one which caused us to think critically about masculinity and we are so grateful for the level of vulnerability our storytellers commanded and the range of stories that were submitted.
We also want to extend a big thank you to Roxie for hosting, and keeping us happy with delicious cocktails, mini-burgers, and kimchi grilled cheese.
